Day of the Show

Show Schedule

Arrival (8:30am - 9:00am)
Arrive at the hall between 8:30am and 9:00am. Please help set up any tables and chairs needed before organising your own display.

Set Up

Once the hall has been organised, you can set up your own table display (rodents, theme decorations, products for sale if you are a club member).

Inspection (9:00am - 9:15am)
The show secretary will come around to all exhibitors and inspect their rodents for signs of mites/lice between 9:00am and 9:15am. If any signs of mites or lice are found upon inspection, all of your animals will be disqualified on the spot.

Catalogue Collection and Entry Payment (9:15am - 9:45am)

Between 9:15am and 9:45am, make your way to the show secretary's table to pay for your entries (card preferred) and collect your catalogue and show bin tags. You can also hire the standardised show tubs here.

Ready Your Rodents (9:45am - End of Judging)

If you have animals that are early in the judging, you can begin getting them ready to take up to the stewards at this time. Judging progresses numerically from ID# 1 onwards throughout the day. If you have animals in the ranges R1 - R10 or M1 - M10, begin getting them organised now. Your catalogue will list all the animals entered in the classes you are competing in, along with their corresponding ID numbers. Place the rodent in the show tub, put the lid on, and then stick that rodent's ID# on top of the tub with blue tack. The ID#s and blue tack are provided along with your catalogue when you pay for your entries at the show secretary's table (9:15am - 9:45am). Your animal is now ready to present to the steward.

Judging Begins (10:00am)

At 10:00am the stewards will begin calling rodent classes. Keep an eye on the whiteboard as it will tell you which rodents are currently needed for judging. The whiteboard will be updated throughout the day, so make sure to keep checking it.

Collect Your Rodents
After being judged, your rodents will be placed on the "Return" table by the stewards. At this point you can go up and collect your animal, place them in their cage, and ready your next animal if its number is listed on the whiteboard.

Break For Lunch (12:00pm)
The canteen will have food available for lunch at this time, so head over and pick up your meal. This is also a good time to take a look at the merchandise offered by exhibitors and maybe grab some raffle tickets.

Raffle Draw (2:00pm)
The raffle will be drawn at 2:00pm, so make sure you get your tickets in beforehand!

Winner's Announcements (approx. 3:00pm)
Judging will have finished and the winners will now be announced. Gather around the prize table and find out who the day's best rodents are!

Pack Up
Once announcements have finished, it's time to pack up. Please assist in packing away tables and chairs before you leave.

Scorecards
Scorecards with your rodent's scores and judge's comments will be emailed out to you in the week following the show. A public scorecard will be made available in the 'Show Results' section of the website during the following week as well.
